Advancing Wyoming’s mental health for a community that is…

Strong

Why Oxbow?

A new name to represent our work

Inspired by our clients, the name Oxbow Center has been strategically crafted to align with the unique nature of mental health and the journey towards well-being. An oxbow is a U-shaped bend that a river forms over time. As rivers naturally meander and change course, an oxbow is a reminder that progress isn’t always a linear process. At Oxbow Center, we embrace the inherent nature of change, adaptability, and the natural course of transformation that ultimately welcomes hope and new beginnings.

Who We Are

Oxbow Center is a product of Big Horn Basin Counseling Services, Yellowstone Behavioral Health Center, and Cloud Peak Counseling Center merging together to amplify services for Wyoming’s community.

This partnership will expand on years of efforts to bring a comprehensive array of mental health and substance use services to the entire Big Horn Region of Wyoming and beyond.

Oxbow Center operates with dedication to our clients, believing we are stronger together. Our clients and their wellbeing remain at the forefront of what we do.

The staff was amazing. I could talk to Tracy about anything. Caroline taught me that cooking is fun and a great coping skill. I could joke and laugh with them, which is something I haven’t been able to do in a while.
